Siargao Island.

Siargao, the teardrop shape island in the Philippines sea is one of the 7 643 Philippino islands. It is located in the southeast part of the Philippines with an area of 437 km2. In other words it is fairly small. The coast is rich in coral reefs, white sand beaches and the water is crystal clear. It is often refered to as Bali 30 years ago, because it is yet to be fully discovered by tourists. It a a gem of the Philippines.
Getting to Siargao.

The only connecting flight to Siargao is from CEBU and MANILA. There are numerous international flights and connections to either Cebu or Manila.


Remember to take a look at flights going out of all nearby airports and countries. Getting to another airport first might be much cheaper than paying the airfare from the airport nearest to you.
Sometimes the prices to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Dubai or Hong Kongu are at a bargain. From there, you can fly to CEBU or MANILA at very affordable prices.

The only connecting flight to Siargao from CEBU is provided by the low-cost asian airline Cebu Pacific Air
The flight takes only around 1 hour and is scheduled once or twice a day, depending on the season.

The usually cheaper, but more time inefficient alternative of getting to Siargao from CEBU. It is necessary to take 2 ships. One from CEBU to Surigao, then from Surigao to Siargao.
The CEBU->Surigao line is operated by Cokaliong Shipping company. It is 12 hour night cruise.
The Surigao->Siargao route is operated by multiple shipping companies. However none of them have any english internet presence. The first ship is departing at 5:45 and the last one at around 17:00. The cruise takes around 3 hours.
The only connecting flight to Siargao from MANILA is provided by the low-cost asian airline Sky Jet Air
The flight takes around 2,5 hours. Currently the flights are scheduled for 4 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun). Please check at their website, before considering this option.
If you would like to extend your trip, prior or after the camp, you are welcome to do so. The costs are however not incuded in the price of the camp, but we will be more than happy to help you with aranging your stay; ie. helping you with accommodation, showing you around etc..
Before the trip.

What you should think of before your trip

If you feel the need, do get your shots prior to your trip. There are no required vaccinations, nevertheless the recommended vaccinations are Hepatitis A a B, typhoid fever and rabies.
- Be carefull, there is no vaccination against the hormones of happiness :) in which you will be emerged in the whole time-
Most countries have a visa free agreement for stays that do not exceed 30 days. However please check with the Phillipine embassy in your country, just to be sure. If you are planning to remain in the Philippines longer than 30 days, you may need special visa arrangements.
As all of our trips will include traveling and sport activities, it is a good idea to have a travel insurance, just in case. As a wise man once said, better to be safe than sorry. Many banks offer an additional travel insurence as a bonus to your account or go for the commercial insurance providers.
Get insured for the full time period of your trip, including the dates of your inbound and outbound flights.
